Powell Property Maintenance Fundraiser for Kickin it for Katy Inc.

 

Powell Property Maintenance is proud to stand alongside Kickin it for Katy Inc., a nonprofit whose mission is to raise awareness for mental health, provide resources, and build hope in our community. This fundraiser is more than a campaign — it’s an opportunity for us to give back in a way that makes a real difference.

 

Our team at Powell Property Maintenance believes that businesses should play an active role in supporting the communities they serve. By partnering with Kickin it for Katy, we are uniting two missions: providing reliable, high-quality home and property services while investing in the mental health and well-being of families, students, and even pets across Marion, and surrounding counties.

 

With your help, our goal is to raise $10,000 by the last day of fall 2025 — and we truly hope to well exceed that milestone.

How the Fundraiser Works

 

Every job booked with Powell Property Maintenance during this fundraiser will directly support Kickin it for Katy.

• For most scheduled jobs during the fundraiser, Powell Property Maintenance will donate up to $500 into the fund that will be presented to Kickin it for Katy Inc. at the conclusion of the campaign.

• As a thank-you, customers will also receive an exclusive 40% discount (up to $5,000) on larger services, including gutter guard installation, handyman services, and renovation/restoration projects.

 

No promo code is required at checkout — the discount and donation will automatically be applied to every qualifying job scheduled during the fundraiser.

Ways to Give Without Booking a Service

 

We know that not everyone may need property services right now — and that’s okay. There are still meaningful ways you can join us in supporting this cause:

• Call us at 304-612-9599 to schedule a donation pick-up if you’d like to contribute but prefer not to donate online.

 

Every dollar given will be added to the total amount raised and presented to Kickin it for Katy at the end of this fundraiser.

Kickin it for Katy uses community support to make a powerful difference. Every contribution raised will go directly toward programs like:

• Scholarships for students pursuing careers in mental health fields.

• Community events like the Kickin it for Katy 5K & Festival, which bring people together, raise awareness, and break the stigma surrounding mental health.

• Local partnerships that expand outreach and connect people to vital resources.

• Kickin it for Kritters, a special program that supports local animal rescues while raising mental health awareness, pairing the healing power of pets with the healing power of community.

Kickin it for Katy was founded in memory of Katy Newbraugh, whose life and legacy continue to inspire action, compassion, and change. What began as a single event has grown into a thriving 501(c)(3) nonprofit that touches countless lives each year.

 

Their message is simple yet powerful: mental health matters, and no one should walk through it alone. By combining education, community events, scholarships, and even pet adoption initiatives, Kickin it for Katy creates spaces where people feel seen, supported, and hopeful.

We are not able to do these types of fundraisers if it wasn't for the amazing communities we work with every day!

 

We’re already planning another fundraiser at the beginning of 2026 to build on this momentum and keep strengthening the community we call home.
